Romax Wins Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade

Romax Technology is pleased to announce that it has won one of Britain’s most coveted commercial awards. We have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for 2009. The Queen’s Awards are recognised both nationally and internationally as a mark of quality and success in the fields of international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

We have received the award for increasing exports by more than threefold over 6 years. This is attributed to our consolidation of its success in providing engineering services and software to global automotive manufacturers, and its burgeoning new business stream providing design and analysis services for wind turbines. We have continued to grow, currently employing over 110 people worldwide.

Romax is involved in environmentally significant research for next generation wind turbines and hybrid vehicles, supported in part by UK Government and jointly with leading industry organisations.

“This is the second time we have received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade,” said Financial Director at Romax Technology, Paul Atkin. “In 2004 we were acknowledged and rewarded for our achievements in this area of business and we are extremely proud to be recognised once again for our successes.”

“Industry accolades are all a valued symbol of prestige amongst our peers, but we are amongst a highly select band of winners who are able to have the added status of receiving the British Monarch’s approval.”

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise recognise and celebrate the successes of British business and the importance of enterprise to the economy. Queen’s Award winning companies are standard-bearers for the very best of British business embodying the spirit of enterprise and innovation that is so vital to the future. They also play a valuable role in the promotion of British industries in the world market.
