Romax opens Wind Business Centre in Chennai, India

Romax Solutions Pvt Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of the world’s leading drivetrain technical consultancy Romax Technology, recently opened a new Wind Business Centre in Chennai. The branch was officially opened by Dr S Gomathinayagam, Executive Director and Mr Rajesh Katyal, Unit Chief (R&D)of C-WET (Centre for Wind Energy Technology) ) on 5th January 2011.

Chennai is the wind energy business hub in India playing host to many major wind turbine manufacturers. The new Romax Business Centre will provide support and services in a number of key areas. Expertise will include all aspects of Operations and Maintenance from wind turbine erection and commissioning to end of warranty inspections, failure diagnostics, as well as consultancy on drivetrain design and optimisation.

Mr Samuel Rajkumar, General Manager of Wind Business for Romax Solutions Pvt Ltd said: “Our expansion into Chennai is an operational and strategic move which will put Romax at the heart of the wind energy hub in India. Romax’s customer base in India continues to grow. The opening of the Chennai Wind Business Centre in addition to Romax’s Pune office will ensure that Romax can service and respond to wind customers in India with increased efficiency and effectiveness going forward.
