About the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs)

Engineers solve problems; it’s as simple as that. Some solutions are elegant, some inspired, but the vast majority are high quality designs which apply appropriate technology to solve the problem at hand.

During the past four years of the British Engineering Excellence Awards, we’ve seen winning entries ranging in size from chip designs to pipe laying systems, with the Grand Prix – the best of the best – awarded to a kinetic energy recovery system, an engineer who designed a system to save water on a massive scale, a marine communications company and a diesel engine crankcase ventilator. It just shows the breadth of the UK’s engineering capability.
