Romax Improves Speed and Accuracy of Driveline Development with New Dynamic FUSION
Romax Technology has announced the launch of Dynamic FUSION, a revolutionary new way to significantly improve the speed and accuracy of component, gearbox and driveline Multibody Dynamic (MBD) analysis.
Developed in direct response to customer demand, Dynamic FUSION addresses some of the key historical issues with MBD analysis, long seen as a crucial part of the driveline design and development process.
Romax Technology product manager and technologist, Mikey Platten, explains, “In the past, users have typically had to create MBD models from scratch, a process that is not only slow but also prone to inaccuracy, rendering the analysis results of limited use. Equally, they have generally been unable to leverage any of the engineering intelligence from the previous development and analysis work already completed.
“Finally, legacy approaches have typically not addressed users’ need for more process-based model building to allow them to create a model to simulate a specific issue such as driveline shunt, rattle or gear whine for example.”
Dynamic FUSION solves these key challenges by enabling MBD users to directly import models from the company’sRomaxDESIGNER and CONCEPT solutions and automatically create new, optimized models for high accuracy analysis in almost any in-house or packaged applications. Also because Dynamic FUSION carries robust engineering intelligence through to the MBD analysis, real life engineering parameters from RomaxDESIGNER and CONCEPT can be used to generate complex MBD mathematical models for highly accurate MBD simulation.
“Together with RomaxDESIGNER and CONCEPT, Dynamic FUSION is enabling a completely seamless design and development environment from planning through to prototype and leverages all major 3rd party applications,” adds Platten.
