Romax colleagues and customers come together for series of inspiring virtual events

For over 15 years Romax has held its series of Global Summits, regional-based conference events that provide our customers, new and existing, with the opportunity to network, learn best practices from their peers, and hear about the latest software developments and project successes from our Romax experts. More than this, the Summits allow us to meet and engage with our customers, and continue to nurture our strong relationships.

This year, COVID-19 has impacted all areas of life and brought new challenges. For the first time ever, we had to convert our Summits to a digital format, a challenge that many events had to overcome this year. We adapted the conferences to this setting and created themed sessions to cater to different specialties. The online format had the benefit of removing regional divisions – people from all around the world could attend whichever session they wanted, and had the opportunity to ask questions to the presenters. We were privileged to host speakers from Volvo Cars, Dana, McLaren Engineering, GKN and many other market leaders.

The results were fantastic: 20 customers and partners presented their success stories on how our cloud-enabled ecosystem of applications has empowered them to improve their processes and to develop high quality products quickly and at low cost. Our discussion panels were also highly illuminating: with the participation of technology leaders such as Boeing, Caterpillar and Arrival, they brought key topics such as eMobility and driveline simulation into focus in an interactive and engaging way. More than 700 attendees participated in our 5 conferences, more than ever before.

“Our marketing team did an outstanding job in creating, setting up and hosting, and I would say this year was our most successful year for levels of attendance and engagement without having the luxury of a face-to-face experience.

We would also like to thank all the customers who took the time to prepare and present some fantastic insights, along with all the valued users, and yet-to-be users, who attended from across the world.

Particular thanks go to our customers who joined the two panel discussions, which were incredibly enlightening; it was great to listen to how different organisations approach similar problems.
