Gearbox Thermal Influences with Romax Aero and Hexagon Synergies
Date:
Presented by: Hal Mynott, Application Engineer, Romax Technology
This presentation introduces a methodology developed at Romax outlining a detailed thermal analysis early in the development cycle. The process-improvement opportunities examined; then the thermal methodology uses the Hexagon tools Patran and Nastran, along with Romax Aero, to solve a steady state temperature distribution for the components of a Romax Aero example model. The presentation highlights the importance of including thermal effects at the correct stage during the development of a gearbox.
