Optimization Of An eDrive System
Date:
Presented by: Jordan Houser, Advanced Development Engineer, Dana Inc.
The rise of electric vehicles has put a considerable amount of attention on powertrain characteristics such as NVH performance, component lightweight, and development time. Early concepting and analysis is taking place earlier in the development cycle. The following presentation demonstrates a method of changing design parameters to find the critical characteristics of a design as well as the acceptable tolerances for a gearbox. The methods demonstrated can be utilized in other analysis throughout the development process. Utilizing tools such as batch running can shorten the conceptual design process as well as shortening the manufacturing/assembly time of a gearbox.
