Challenges in EV and HEV Driveline Designs

Whilst design practices for electric motors and design practices for gearboxes, such as those used in typical EV and HEV vehicles, are well-established, problems associated with the integration of the different components have been encountered in the development of EV drive units.
In particular, reducing noise from gearboxes and motors to an acceptable level in EV systems has resulted in expensive delays in development.
There is a very fast-pace demanded of design and development engineers for these new systems, and so problems late in the development process must be avoided.
In this webinar we will outline our understanding of the challenges in development of EV and HEV drive units and hybrid transmissions, and introduce the tool chain we recommend.
